"Andrew is a highly accomplished choreographer, brimming with fresh ideas and able to implement many different styles. His knowledge of musical theatre history is comprehensive, and he brings a bright intelligence to his work. We worked together on ‘Pippin’ and he was a great collaborator, entirely trustworthy and professional, with a warm rapport with the cast. Our production received standing ovations, which was in large part due to Andrew’s skill and artistry."
Improvisor and Theatre Director
"I worked with Andrew on a Chichester University production of Spring Awakening and found him to be a most cooperative and pleasant colleague. Generous by instinct, a highly skilled choreographer and an articulate and motivational coach, Andrew was able to get excellent results from all levels of ability. Flexible and accommodating yet purposeful and clear, I found him to be the ideal colleague. I would heartily recommend him and his work without any reservation whatsoever"
"Working with Andrew Wright is a real pleasure. In my first instance of teaching Indian dance to his students a few years ago, I was impressed with his immense knowledge of Indian dance and theatre. His enthusiasm for performing arts is very evident from the way he teaches and encourages his students to delve into learning diverse arts beyond borders. He is a versatile artist himself, adept in dance, music and drama. He is extremely passionate about his work and commits totally in giving all that he knows to his beloved students. His approachable and friendly nature makes him a benefit to all his pupils "
Freelance lecturer, choreographer and performer
"Andrew is a highly motivated, inspirational and excellent mentor and creative practitioner. He helped me enormously with structuring my teaching and approach to the students. He is also the perfect example of a collaborative professional; innovative, personable and ruthlessly committed"
"I was lucky enough to work with Andrew on a production of Pippin for Chichester University. It was in fact the first show I had worked on since I left the West End Production of Les Miserables, where I was assistant MD for twenty five short years. As I was engaged to MD Pippin at the last minute, owing to the illness of the previous MD, it could have been a baptism of fire. It was in fact an extremely enjoyable and stress-free experience, due in no small measure to Andrew. He was the choreographer, but also clearly had an absolute grasp of the material dramatically and musically, which made his help and support to me invaluable. He was an unfailingly affable and good-humoured colleague who kept his head when all around were losing theirs, and even to my inexpert eye was (is) an extremely talented choreographer"
"Andrew Wright is an outstanding communicator with a broad range of detailed technical knowledge and excellent organisational skills. This combined with his high level of professional experience as a performer makes him an extremely valuable asset in all forms of theatrical education and training"
Musical Director and Composer
Andrew Wright is a really kind, dynamic teacher as well as being able to produce miracle-type performances in just a few short days with children with a whole mixture of abilities. At the most recent performance I sat open-mouthed half the time at the professional level of the performance. The children all seem engaged, fully interactive and inspired throughout. This is particularly important to me as I am a mother of a child on the autistic spectrum who needs just that little bit extra understanding and attention. Andrew is truly respectful of my child’s extra needs and always willing to go that extra mile to make sure he feels OK and is able to really succeed at what he is doing. Andrew is highly motivating and brilliant at bringing out the best in all the children. I wish my child could work with him all the time!!

Andrew is a passionately committed individual who clearly takes his responsibilities towards nurturing his students hugely seriously; providing them with exactly the right conditions and opportunities to flourish in confidence and skill. As a visiting director I was grateful for his guidance and support to be able to meet the challenges of a highly intensive process.
“Working with Andrew Wright was, as he would say, a walk in the park. His professionalism is flawless, juggling many balls at once and keeping each department on track. Communication with me as a writer was just right and he brought me into the complex and challenging process he was overseeing with ease. The ethos, energy, drive, enthusiasm and commitment of the musical theatre students is testament to the continued support and encouragement they have received from Andrew. University of Chichester are very lucky to have him!”
